Thirasia Santorini

Thirasia (Therasia) is a small island, the piece of land left by the prehistoric part of the island when it was named Strogili. Overlooked by the Caldera and having  the same earth morphology with Santorini the small island is a quiet place with a few hotels and tavernas,  the inhabitants mostly work as farmers. The main settlement ‘Manolas’ is built on top of a cliff viewing caldera and Fira.

North of the island of Thirassia is the church of St. Irene (Santa Eirini).

You can reach Thirasia with small boats departing from the main port of Athinios or from Armeni.
